DWC: Does it help or hurt?
February 4, 2009
Obviously my last effort at a daily writing challenge was so successful it stopped me blogging altogether for almost a year.
Nevertheless, I’m convinced it’s not the challenge, but the gravity with which I treated it that led to my demotivation. Despite my best intentions and my protestations to the contrary, I still acted as if I had to produce only quality writing.
So now I’m going to try a daily writing challenge that I explicitly declare shall be neither daily, nor a challenge, nor yet necessarily writing: I shall post occasionally a DWC post at lunch, or over breakfast, or in transit. DWC means that I’m writing to keep up the flow, not to judge what I have to say…or indeed to have anything to say.
